My understanding is at Brentford they identified a certain type of player using a logarithm, then built him up to being a top player then sell him on, something along the lines we do now.
I think it was tried out in America in the NFL, what I can recall is once the NFL club owner thought he could do better then the logarithm the teams then when down hill, which seemed to happen every time!, how closely Brentford and probably FC FC Midtjylland stuck to this I don’t know but it might be interesting to see
It could work well with a well supported Medium sized club |

It’s clear for the start of the season at least that to see a game live you will need a season ticket, but if the club sells you a season ticket and you are a first time season ticket holder they then can’t really say you probably won’t see any games as you’re new to this! The only fair way a club can sell you their product is that your money buys you a equal share of games as everyone else’s money |

I sort of agree with you but it doesn’t stack up the way you hammer Yoshida, last season he was our only option yet you still hammered him, now you say it’s wrong if the player is the only option! Cut out the one rule for you another for everyone else and you might sound more credible |

I am very underwhelmed with the thought of Puel. It seems to say that although we have progressed over the years we still can't attract anyone better then relative unknowns in football management, other then Wenger I can think of a French manager who has achieved much in English football, I can't recall what Gerard Houllier ever did with Liverpool and Remie Gaurd was useless
Oh well onwards and sideways..........and that's at best, it's looking like it might be a long season |
