I'm conflicted. I want to dislike him, but he did the Grenfell charity match amongst lots of other good things for other charities and causes. But of a pantomime villain. But he managed the scum up the road, so it makes me feel ill at the same time. |

I'd agree with that. Rashford doesnt seem to have same end product or incisiveness that Eze has. When Eze starts running at players you hear the crowd suddenly perk up as you know something potentially magical is about to happen through his speed, guile and vision. When Rashford runs he is good but the end product doesnt quite have the same quality. I think will be interesting to see what Tuchel takes from the game. He attended a few Palace games and had a chance to look at Eze, Guehi and others play. Pretty sure he rates Eze highly and seems like he understood and delivered what was asked for. Suspect Eze was a bit frustrated once the final set of substitutions happened as he was being fed the ball less and the pace slowed down. Instead Foden was given the ball more and ran down blind alleys and delivered poor corners and much more inconsistent crosses in the box. |

it was disappointing. Without Bellingham we are screwed. Foden isnt quite good enough under any England Manager in any position he has been tried in, but still gets a start ahead of everyone else. Dan Burn, good in parts but exposed for pace. Kane scores goals. Again without him we are also screwed. Walkers speed is still impressive. Rashford good in parts and joined up attack well, his pace again really helps. Bowen and Gordon didnt really improve things when they game on, but at least the former was trying hard to get engaged. Gordon looks to have been unlucky with injury but again not sure he was the answer for this game, reckon Eze was more likely to unlock things. May get his chance next match by the look of it. For all of the talent and initial intensity/pressure we did seem to slow down too much in second half. |

I think developing a point earlier, it might be around having to play loan signings a certain amount of time as part of loan deal. Just speculating, but that might be forcing to play a certain way/style/approach or pursue certain tactics which really go against where he'd like to be playing. Maybe that was how we were able to afford the loans that we got by agreeing a reduced fee in favour of guaranteed appearances. The idea potentially being we might secure more/higher quality loans in future as well. That might become frustrating as a manager, particularly facing so many likely departures in the summer that will leach experience, quality and presumably leadership qualities on and off the pitch. |

I briefly ended up at Bishop Ramsey in my 6th form, but before that was at Southbourne just a short jog away from you. It was a totally mad school I think where the local authority tended to put those expelled from elsewhere. Shut down halfway through my A levels hence ending up at the rival school for second year of A levels for a couple of subjects. Did not go well.... |

What I really get amazed by with certain players appendages postings are that they are so absolutely sure of themselves. Their views are in their world wholly and completely correct in their opinions of player, team, incident or managerial performance. I admire that level of confidence given they have not attended the game and at best only seeing the game on TV, but most likely at best through highlights packages where the camera normally focuses on the ball, not what is going around the pitch or every player. Special kind of talent. I like the ignore button. |

I was thinking of this the other way round in that many of the other teams in the promotion mix still have to play us. We are now not someone that you can look at for an easy 3 points anymore in the fixture list and you wouldnt want to come to Loftus Road needing points. That said I suspect that losing at Coventry probably puts playoffs out of reach this season. |

Fair challenge. I think given it was two games this week in 4 days, plus travel to and from Coventry and a few players with knocks/strains there was always likely to be some changes. Smyth has taken some heavy challenges recently and plays at 100MPH so definitely needed a rest. The new Korean gives pace and guile in his place and thought he did well tonight on his first start, created problems and chances and an assist. He wont play every game for sure, but it is a good use of a loan as we dont have anything comparable available to us. And with Kohli's injury that arrival looks even more timely. Get the worry about developing another teams talent, loans we do have like Edwards and Min-Hyeok give us extra quality in areas we are currently thin in. Will be interesting to see where both of them end up next year as would love to get at least one of them for us. |

Win 4-0 at home, possibly our most complete performance of the season so far and Chair showing what he can do now he is getting back to full match fitness. Not forgetting a win on Sky on a Friday night with a ref who seemingly hates us. Still, not good enough really was it according to one of our fan base who still contrive find supposedly major flaws or failures by players and management. Strange really. I'm happy! |
