We rocked up to Entrance F, Kingsland at 1330 and got to our seats at 1352 after a visit to the loo. My only comment concerns the NHS app and our COVID Pass - we were unable to connect via wifi and therefore couldn't show our pass. But as we weren't asked to show it............ |

I agree with David Argyll about Nathan Redmond. I find him very frustrating to watch - he never goes for a 50/50 ball, if he runs with the ball he loses it and if he passes, it doesn't often go to a Saint.
Stephens and Bednarek seem to be developing a decent partnership probably the best since Fonte/VVD.
It was also nice to see our home fans getting into the act positively. A terrific Christmas programme by the Saints. Now let's turn Leicester over ......

I think my preferences from the players we have are:
1. Ryan Bertrand - he will grow into the captaincy, I hope.
2. Cedric - he has the fire in his belly
3. Pierre - has the potential
4. Yosh would also be a good choice - that would relegate Hoedt I think
5. Danny Ings might be a good choice when he signs permanently. |

From what I saw against Sparta on tv on Thursday and Liverpool at St Mary's last Saturday, we have a problem creating chances. Our strikers can"t score if we don't create chances!
We have a really good squad and the team selected played poorly on Thursday. Purl is in the same place as every other manager, as summed up by the late, great Sir Bobby Robson - "it's up to the players when they cross the white line". |

When there was talk last season, RK said the one certainty was he would be manager of Saints next season. Saints were confident he was going to sign on for another 2 year. I think the game changer is £7 million a year salary. I will be seriously impressed with RK if he has the strength of character to say no to that.
I see PSG are after the manager of Sevilla. It will be interesting to see who we're considering.

I agree with West Sussex Saint that this is more about not selling to Spuds than anything else. When talking about Pochettino, I find myself torn. He did an excellent job for us and he developed (improved?) several players, who we sold at handsome prices - Llana, Lovren, Chambers, Lambert and Shaw. The manner of his leaving still rankles...... |

I hope Morgan stays. He is a brilliant player and tremendous competitor. When he plays well, so do Saints. I believe we can build a terrific team round him. Presently, we have the basis of an exceptional core - Foster, Fonts, hopefully Toby, Morgan and Pelle. On top of that, we have England's full backs. If Morgan looks at Liverpool, he may see our club's progress and realise the grass is not always greener. Finally, we have an outstanding manager. Stay, MORGAN, stay. Try for CL at St Mary's....... |
