The game should have been unreserved seating and not reserved. After queing for ages my wife and I eventually got in and made our way to our reserved seats. I was prevented from reaching my seat by a steward who said that the block was full.
I asked him to remove the persons sat in our seats and he said to me to look for other seating.
We duly found other seating but I knew that I would then I would find myself in a confrontational situation with the people who had booked these seats.
Yes, true to form, said people turned up with ugly scenes ensuing. I felt very uncomfortable for the rest of the game.
Why reserved seating? The Mrs now doesn't want to attend any more ticket games. |

I left the ground at half time. Not because of the team, but I couldn't take any more of watching the most inept linesman that I have ever seen in watching the Dale in over 50 years.
He needs to be struck off. Absolutely shocking non decision making.
We are talking not inches offside, but yards. Never seen anything like it. |

In one off cup games it's about winning, no matter how you do it.
Bollocks to possession and how many nice passes we can do sideways and backwards.
I just wish that the players would have ignored McNulty's pre match tactics and team talk and just gone for it.
It's about SCORING GOALS, especially in one off cup games.
It's a very SIMPLE game.
We are very close to financial extinction, and this may very well be the final nail in the coffin. |

It's a cup game for god's sake, a one off game, why hasn't the manager told the players to attack, attack, play the ball forward, shoot!

For the benefit of the younger fans, I think that date refers to our 3-2 home win in our promotion season against Scunthorpe.
I'll always remember that game as it was my very first time watching Rochdale.
By the way, the Scunthorpe side that year featured a very young man by the name of Kevin Keegan! |
