Martin Foyle also I think. Did he score against us in the 3-0 drubbing we got in 1985? Phil Kite was in goal and had a bit of a mare if I recall. |

The promotion winning season for me in 1978. From then on, totally hooked. Season ticket holder until 1996, then it became hard with my work. Early heroes, Nick Holmes for sure, especially after that half way line goal he scored against Watford in that well known league cup first leg game. David Armstrong, Steve Moran. Loved night games at the Dell back then. |

I read today that Wolves have just broken a record that dates back to 1888. The worst points tally after 17 games in all English leagues since then. |

Best way to overcome t, is not to do it. I counted at lest 4 times yesterday we started playing it around at the back and eventually ended up playing someone into trouble, leaving them with no option but to hoof it out. So, why not just cut out the middle man and hoof it right away? Then move out defensive line up and condense the area of play? Better than passing it around, letting them swarm all over us so we have no where to go, if we had cleared it first time, they would not have the time to have so many numbers forward swarming our back lines. On top of that, it gets hoofed out eventually anyway, so why bother with 37 seconds of passing it around and risking giving a goal away? I just don't get it. It creates and does nothing. |
 | Forum Reply | Do you now expect a top six season finish ? at 10:09 14 Dec 2025
My preseason prediction was that we would not be in the top six all season. I still don't think we will be and will finish as I said, 10th to 13th sort of area. |

Class player at this level. I watched the Charlton game with the Charlton commentary and they were waxing lyrical about him being one of the best in the division. I wonder if he could have done better in the PL if we had played in this style with him sitting a bit more deep and creating as well as scoring? |

I agree with his, and for a few others reasons I also do not see this ending the way we would all want, with a top six finish. Shame, as clearly TE has some good skills and is one for the future, but this gig is too soon for him. |

I agree with this. Someone at the EFL should be in the shit for allowing him to pass the test. On top of that, why is he only banned for 3 years? He should never be allowed to own a football club again. It is clear he is a bad egg, so why let him come back in 4 or 5 years and do it to someone again? The fans will suffer but in effect bugger all happens to the bent owner. |
 | Forum Reply | Southampton At Millwall The Preview at 06:52 28 Nov 2025
Not seen anything of Millwall this season so i really have no idea how they play and how hard this game could be. They seem not to be big scorers with only 19 goals in 17 games and in fact despite being above us they have a -4 GD, which is often a sign of a team in a false position. Definitely a game we should be winning. OK, we cannot expect TE to win every game, but this is one you would think he should win if he is as good as he seems to be thus far. I hope he does not make too many changes, as i think the way we move forward we could be good for 2 goals and hopefully thus we only concede a maximum of 1 and walk away with the points. |

If TE is the real deal he will think about this I hope and change the line up accordingly. If he feels it is needed of course. He said something in his after match comments about Tuesday will look a whole lot different. If he gets a win against Leicester, he has to get the job for me. Not saying Leicester are all that, but they will give him and altogether different challenge which he will have to adjust to and set up to. If he can do that then he is a tactical manager with some good ideas and abilities. |

The line up could be interesting today. Being Tonda was youth team coach, will he start or at least feature our prolific young striker now he has two weeks to bed him in at training? |

Nothing to do with being * or -, I am too old to be a die in the mud type who thinks and believes we will win every week just because I should. I am realistic. |

Pretty obvious statement from me today, in that we have to win this. looking at the table if we win, we can stay in contention. Lose or even draw and the gap is getting bigger. We are in danger of being a long way behind without wins. Sadly I think Jones will have his lot well up for this today and their style of play will not suit us at all. Can see it 2-0 Charlton sadly. |
