So true, 2008. It's a bit radical, but, maybe one way to bring this wretched behaviour into disrepute and perhaps achieve a change in the laws, is for the fans of the offending team also to signal their disgust. To put it simply, if we think a QPR player is feigning injury to waste time, we boo or slow handclap. OK, I know how unlikely that is. |

What if we lose the next three and Cardiff win their next four? |

Yes. I remember a crudely painted 'Rodney must not go' slogan on some rough structure on the Ellerslie Road side of the ground. They were my sentiments entirely. |

I remember being at Loftus Road for the previous match (we beat Middlesbrough?) and listening to the crowd singing happily 'If you're going to Norwich, clap, your hands...' It was seen as a virtual certainty that we would beat Norwich. Oh dear. |

A neutral would have enjoyed that game. Lots of decent football and it could have gone either way. I thought Bristol City looked menacing in their attacking build-up, but, was surprised that, as a top six team, their threat did not turn into real goal-scoring opportunities. Maybe that was down to our defending. Shouldn't judge by one game, perhaps, but it suggests that the gap between a play-off team and us is barely discernible. |

Good decision-making. It's usually best not to punch the boss.😉 |

I can recommend one called the 'Fifty Pointer' but delivery can be a bit slow. |

Agreed. Felt uneasy at half-time - chances not taken and always a threat from Madrid counter-attacks. But, the second half was quite a performance. It's not over yet, though. |

The way Leeds started the first half, I thought they imagined themselves so superior that it would be a stroll in the park. The Sky commentators seemed to think that Leeds were almost entitled to win. Let's hope it is difficult for them and we win some much-needed points. COYR |
 | Forum Thread | Remaining games - a drag, or an interesting end to the season? at 09:05 11 Mar 2025
We play: Middlesbrough (currently 9th in the table), Leeds (1st), Stoke (20th), Cardiff (21st), Oxford (18th), Bristol City (7th), Preston (16th), Swansea (15th), Burnley (3rd), Sunderland (4th). If we assume that Oxford and those below are still in a relegation battle and Middlesbrough and above are in a promotion/play-off battle, it leaves only the matches against Preston and Swansea looking dull. In the other games, we shall be playing motivated teams. I hope that Marti can keep our lads motivated. Too many slip-ups and we shall begin to face 'must-win' games. |

No QPR fans in your school? What's wrong with education these days? |

Perrin Road, Sudbury - but for only a couple of years. |

Aside from the issue of time wasting, is it not depressing that we have people watching football at Loftus Road who think it is OK to throw a bottle at a player? |
