But if they really do live their lives according to their faith they wouldn't be expressing it on a football pitch. No religion or theology calls for its followers to express their belief on a sports field. They are just poseurs and superstitious thats all.
I think its worth noting that free travel for eligible people in London costs the London Boroughs over 300 million quid a year. This is what they have to pay TFL and then take into consideration that a lot of people don't use them that much especially in outer boroughs as they have cars. Also some retired people are quite prosperous and don't really need them.I know many.
A thread that started off as critical of social media abuse develops into social media abuse. The question is do you not see the irony of your post? probably not.
The movie about Springsteen Deliver me from Nowhere is pretty good.It deals with his difficult relationship with his Father and how it affected his own personnel and professional life, its not a feelgood or' isn't Bruce great film' but a serious look at his demons and the choices he needed to make in his career. I dont think you need to be a big Springsteen fan to appreciate this movie as it deals with issues that most of us know about.Great acting throughout and a very well made film.Stephen Graham who is very good as always plays his Dad.
Well this thread is certainly more interesting than all the umpteen Eze ones.I thought a great deal of Charlie as someone who jumped up from non league football and a building site to play top level football but much as i loved him for us i always thought he was a bit limited as a player but that made me admire him more. However he was no Givens,Allen,Ferdinand Gallen or Bannister imo.
My guess is Richards didn't like being a professional footballer its a very competitive and ruthless business which requires a high level of dedication, the rewards are there but i don't think its suited for everyone.
Lonesome Dove is a great book the best by Larry McMurtry. The Last Picture Show is my next favourite by him its set in 1950's Texas and its a coming of age story.
For any history buffs The Silk Roads by Peter Frankopan is second to none.
