David Webb makes the journey down from County Durham to officiate against Colchester on Saturday.

This is only his third visit to Spotland since joining the league list in 2008 and he was last here in April for the 2-2 draw with Brighton when both sides were awarded and scored penalties.

In October 2008 David was in the middle for our 2-0 home defeat by Dagenham, which was only his fifth game at league level.

Mr Webb also took charge of the 2-1 loss at Hereford in the closing weeks of Dale’s promotion campaign.

This season David has refereed 12 games, showing 39 yellow cards and two red, with his most recent fixture being Morecambe v Wimbledon last Saturday.
