Scallies Arrive At White Rock

Gillingham are another on of those non descript football clubs which means that I cannot sit here and churn out some lovely stereo types to generate a reaction like we did so well with the Tranmere fans. So well that they still pop back in for a visit and a cuppa from time to time. It's a shame and something we shall be raising with the football league for giving us such a naff set of Christmas fixtures. Swindon and Port Vale doesn't lend it to much other than the odd Willie Carson and Robbie Williams comment.

Gillingham have one of them chairmen that we all love to hate even though we have nothing in common with the club itself. Gills effort Paul Scally has banned the Rivals site editor from home games as he believes he has cost the club hundreds of thousands in lost revenue. The crime? Owning a gillinghamfc.co.uk domain name or something similar and Scally reckons that stops people looking at the official site. If you're reading Huw, the cheque is in the post. Okay. Honest. The good news is for Alan is that it means he hits the away games etc so keep an eye out for him tomorrow, he'll be the one driving the brand new Jaguar and wearing the Armani suits. You can't miss him!!!

Anyway that aside, Gillingham will not be seeing our new signing from them tomorrow as he won't be picked. Tom Williams will watch from the stands probably to the relief of the Gillingham fans who have openly told us that he is responsible pretty much for every evil in the world today. Even Tony Blair. We'll have to wait until next week to see if they are right but Williams is not the first to have bad said about him and he won't be the last. We even believed Mickey Howard was a bad player. Oh.........

Team news wise its okay until you look at our defence where most people are either injured, suspended or Ijah Andersoned. It should leave us the solid back line of Gary Monk, Sam Ricketts, Mike the Stadco doorman and the Ivor Allchurch Statue. Not too bad on the face of it although the statue has been more mobile and the Stadco doorman was human once. Allegedly.

For Gillingham they come here expecting to lose to such a massive club. And come on they'll be overawed by the gigantic size of our support, the sheer loudness of the same and the quality of football on display. Surely they will. You know it makes sense. To all Gills fans making the trip, wipe your feet on the way in and it's Mr Sheepshagger to you if you please. Thanks.

Anyway, enough of this crap for another game, here's to three points tomorrow and our hopeful regaining of the top spot that we all know is rightfully ours and always will be!!
