QPR lose Cardiff and Swansea games to weather
QPR lose Cardiff and Swansea games to weather
Monday, 2nd Feb 2009 11:47

QPR's home match with Swansea tomorrow and away game at Cardiff next weekend have both fallen victim to the adverse weather conditions sweeping the country.

As usual snow has brought the transport system in Britain to an almost complete stand still and QPR have acted early in postponing their Tuesday night fixture against Swansea City.

Rangers were due to face Cardiff City on Sunday February 15 at Ninian Park however that weekend is also FA Cup fifth round day and had the Bluebirds won at Arsenal tomorrow night the match would have been off.

That game at the Emirates Stadium was the first victim of today's heavy snow fall in London and has been rearranged for fifth round day meaning our match at Cardiff has been postponed and will now be another awkward Tuesday night fixture for the travelling R's.

QPR may also lose the Sheffield United home match to the Blades' FA Cup commitments should they beat Hull City in the next round.

Rangers fans are now left facing a series of free weekends and awkward midweek games unless any of these fixtures can be slotted into FA Cup weekends although as Swansea, Cardiff and Sheff Utd are all still in the competition that may prove to be tricky.
