I appreciate we're a bit short on backroom staff after this week which may be the main reason he was involved yesterday, but maybe he's impressed the board since his arrival and they want him involved more with the first team and less as an 'academy consultant'? |  |

I'd always thought it must have been a Laudrup link to bring Pep in, but clearly not. Canny move by the board to bring in an extra non-Laudrup team Spaniard if so, as he can hopefully continue the development of players like Amat and Poz, who I think are both fantastic talents, Amat especially. |  | | |

That’s a interesting point.
I agree I think the board have been sneaky/cleaver by hiring a spanish academy coach that has no link to Laudrup.
Even though Laudrup has left, we are still left with an extra spanish coach influence to help keep the spanish folks happy. [Post edited 9 Feb 2014 16:40]
