What have we got and what do we need? Who will leave?
I suspect Davies will stay, Grant loaned out. GMac no idea. Hopefully leave. Barkhuizen may get loaned out or moved on too. Daniels to stay all season. Dielna is primarily a left mid, I think. So:

Leaves four places. Two defenders required. And attacking width. I can see us,loaning a striker as some point too if the goals aren't going in. And I'm not sure we have enough physical presence in midfield. It's all a bit light and flitty. |  |

The midfield need someone to do that Southern role. Possibly Perkins but otherwise someone who can put a foot in and then give it to the creative options we now have.
Not sure on what Cubero brings. Maybe he is that deeper, tackling man we need.
Daniels and Clarke did far better than I expected. No worries there but cover needed.
Dielna can play LB and will support down the flank.
Upfront, Miller was a big miss yesterday in terms of hold up play.

Still don't see your 10+ goalscorer a season .. you ideally want a 20+ but Miller at best - definitely not Fonz as he proved yesterday - not a goalscorer (think back to the way he used to supply Ince and that is his key role). |  |

Personally the four players you have up front won't get us the goals we need. We need a new strong attacking striker - it's the only way that you win games and we've not had one for too long. Without Ince's goals last season we were stopped in our tracks. That will need investment though or a bit of Riga magic in the loan or European markets! | | | |
