The first one I remember was Man City in the Cup in January 1966. We drew 1-1 and stood in the West paddock near that little stand that linked the South and West. It went over the entrance to the West paddock.
I can see Alan Ball with his vivid ginger hair attacking the South end down that West flank.
The ground didn't change for 30 plus years after that other than the ads on the stand roofs and a paint lick changing it from corporation green to tangerine. |  | | |

1972 I think v Lannerossi 10-0 then v Sampdoria 4-0, thought I was hooked for life! but gave up during the Worthington/ Hinnegan comedy capers in 96/97 (?) never been since apart from 3 freebies ( brother- in -law sponsoring ) in the Prem season. | | | |
