Stand Out Demo from 2:30pm outside the West Stand.
Just a reminder about the 'StandOut' protest organised by Blackpool fan Lee Johnson before the home game against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
Lee has called on fans not to attend the game, but instead to stand outside the stadium, for as long as each fan wishes to, starting at 2:30pm but continuing through the match as it kicks-off at 3pm.
He has called on fans to bring banners, even drums. perhaps even whistles, basically anything to make as much noise as possible and to make the point as clear and loud as it can be that Blackpool fans have simply had enough. And that the time has come for change, a change of ownership.
If you are attending and have any Latvian flags or banners then take them along and show support for minority owner Valeri Belokon, who is fully aware of what is going on and who has expressed his interest in buying the club. Some fans might consider protests as pointless, but nothing is ever pointless when it is done for the right reasons. And Valeri Belokon knows full well the situation in Blackpool and fully understands and supports the fans....
Whatever you do on Saturday, if you join the protest for a short time, the entire time, if you join and then go to the match.. whatever you do, we are all in this together. Those who do go to the match can still make their voice heard. There is no right or wrong way, there are just different ways; all with a common goal - a complete change of ownership at Bloomfield Road.
This is of course being organised by one single fan who has done this on his own and with a lot of hard work. He has put a lot of effort into this and we hope that the supporters of this wonderful club will give him their backing.
The Tangerine Knights have moved on from phase one to phase two of our plans, with a number of actions and activities planned, mostly moving away from protests at home games. However, we have always encouraged and supported those who stand up (or in this instance, stand out....) for the club and it's future, who do not wish to see a once proud club being the laughing stock of the football world and who want to see change at Bloomfield Road. And we therefore support this protest.
We also understand that there may well be other protests staged at some points on Saturday. We also hope that any Brighton fans in attendance will consider standing with Blackpool fans for at least part of the protest.
We Will Not Give In
We Will Not Stop
