Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.

Gomis ,really does to seem to have been a mistake. 7m to West Ham. Should have ripped their arms off... Oliviiera seems better option.

Still, we ll have to see

Gomis still isn't making the sorts of runs that you'd expect from a quality striker. Sometimes he's turning away from goal on his heels rather than towards goal on his toes. Strange....

We did at least look much better today. Dominated play, made a mistake that led to Defoe's goal, but once Ki scored, it was all down to whether or not we could get a 2nd.

Still need to work on finishing up front...getting Gylfi back in a couple games will help.

You know you get that feeling, when certain players have the ball on the edge of the box, you just know feck all will come from it? Taylor for example - I just give up any hope of scoring when he's advancing with the ball. Well now its the total opposite with Ki, you feel that he's the player who's gonna stand up and be counted, pick out the passes needed and not give the ball away wastefully. A leaders performance today. We're very lucky he's still with us. And with Gylfi, Cork and hopefully a wised up Jonjo, thats hell of a talented and importantly youthful centre midfield.

We just need a striker to compliment them. Nelson looked orite mind, I'd be tempted to give him a run but it wont go down well with le sulk

I'm not convinced with Nelson, although we might as well give him a run in the team because he can't do any worst than Gomis.

How much longer before we give Oliviera a chance up front instead of Gomis?

It might be funny just to see Gomis shit himself with rage

Oliviera isn't going to be the answer I'm afraid. It would help if Bafe had a bit of help up front. When we were attacking down the right there was nobody coming in from the left to help out, there appears to be some kind of magnetic forcefield around the 18 yard box as far as Montero is concerned but he is supposed to be our best winger. I thought Dyer did all right as did Jonjo. Ki and Naughton were the stand outs (and to think people were objecting to signing him, but what do we know).

Would have accepted 4 pts from the last 2 games if they'd been offered beforehand.

Defoe, what a striker. Gomis mis firing again in front of goal, other than that we are playing ok fernandez has had a mare allowing Defoe to run that far, he obviously knows nothing about the player allowing him to do that.

If only Gomis did his talking on the pitch :/

Poll: Who wants the Swans to lose games get relegated to get rid of Huw and the yanks.

We didn't have the craft or the penetration to get more than a point today. Admittedly Ki did look the part and was our best chance of getting a goal. I couldn't help thinking back to last season and the impact Pablo made when he came on at half time - we still miss him. It is difficult to guage where we stand at the moment. We cannot expect players who have been out a few weeks (Montero, for instance) to be up to speed straight away, and Cork is likely to improve as he settles in. Gylfi should also be a big plus factor. But I'd still say our squad is a bit too thin to rely on for next season. Today made that 3 points at Southampton all the more important; we'd be feeling a bit sick without that, especially considering the games now coming up.

We missed Siggy today for sure but I'd have brought Carroll on for Cork.
Cork needs time to settle in.

It's just the internet, init.

How much damned help does he need?
One on One with the Keeper twice and can't convert either of them.
Michu and maybe even Bony would have buried both of them.
Does he need someone to distract the goalie while he scores?

I thought Naughton was horribly hesitant and Rangel showed him up. If Rangel doesn't' get his place back after that cameo he never will.

What game were you watching?
No Penetration?
Sunderland have 4 shots, with 1 on target and it is Defoe and he scores.
Swansea have 16 shots, 7 on target and only score once and it is a defenisve mid fielder heading it in.

I would seriously play Barrow down the middle on Wednesday, make him work the centre halfs and chase everything that goes through to him. Gomis just doesn't do it, why we kept him I just don't know. Must be something in his contract I guess.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

I imagine we kept him because no one even remotely expressed an interest in taking him off our hands.

Most of our shots were long range, didn't penetrate their box much. (Wheeeyy)

Corner taking is hardly a specialist position. I'd rather have players like Ki, Sig and/or Shelvey available for the second ball than Dwyer or Montero.
As we saw confirmed again today, Ki is a very intelligent player and in my opinion we'd be better served keeping him more central in dead ball situations. But what do i know?
