The manager lacks any offensive ideas. Our strikers and a lot of our defence could do a job but the manager has no idea how to get our midfielders into positions to either cross into a box full of bodies or pass and move so a striker can shoot inside the box.

The players did a fine job today.
They are just a product of bad strategy and bad scouting.
When you sell all of your goal scoring players and replace them with players with no goal scoring history, you are in deep trouble. When you at the same time buy a good striker but with a history of injures you are very vulnerable.
Previous year when our strikers failed, Swansea had goalscoring midfielders like Michu, Ayew (Big Brother and Gylfi. But when these types of players are lacking too, your are xxxxed. [Post edited 18 Dec 2017 22:40]

They did no such thing.. Everton beat us comfortably in the end without getting out of 1st gear.
They are also not a product of bad strategy .. they are a product of playing in a Division too high for them without the match winners now to get us out of jail ! |  | | |

"Playing in a division to high for them". It is the boards job to find the right players to PL. They are clearly not capable of doing that.

Agreed.
It's so bloody simple,pass or cross the ball into their box with more bodies....how else are we going to score?
