Enjoyed our break up brum. And my boys first proper away match and he's caught the bug and wants to goto millwall now. Looking at prices on train and ouch £156 for the 3 of us but only £26 from reading. So it looks like I'm gonna drive upto reading and jump train in (not done that for a few years)

I recommend Slough station and nice big car park. Closer to the M4 and cheaper trains. Make sure wherever you travel from you either have Oyster cards or if you don’t have them make sure you each have a ticket with the travel card built on it.
After the match there is a chance that the BTP might take all the Swansea fans travelling by train around South London past Crystal Palace to Victoria Station and onto a tube to Paddington. All escorted by the police. This has happened to me twice watching the Swans at Millwall.
Going to Millwall I feel is one of the safest away trips I have been on. Once you get to South Bermondsey you have a specially built Away walkway all the way to the Away End with no Millwall fans in sight. The Away End feels safe too because rather lower tier is all locked up. And we sit in the upper tier. No chance of any trouble. After the match they normally walk you slowly back up the special walkway with special gates opening every so often. They clear the Millwall fans back on trains to London Bridge, etc before you get up onto the platform.
I love the Millwall Away day. There is normally a pub somewhere near London Bridge that you drink in prior to the match. With police around you in big numbers. [Post edited 20 Aug 2018 11:00]
