Week 4 Results EVERTON 1 HUDDERSFIELD 1 Everton get a goal with their only shot on target, as they recorded their 200th score draw in the Premier League, more than any other team in the competition. Everybody predicted a win for Everton, with 13 going for a 2-0, in what was the weeks most predicted result. So no points for anybody here. WEST HAM 0 WOLVES 1 Wolves get a 93rd minute winner, and that means West Ham have lost their first four games of a league campaign for only the second time. That late winner was good news for the 4 who had this spot-on, and another 8 who got the outcome, all going for a 2-1. HULL 1 DERBY 2 A goal in the 88th minute gave Derby a fourth successive win in all competitions, as Hull lose at home for the fourth successive time. A massive 10 got this spot-on, with a further 12 having the outcome. PRESTON 2 BOLTON 2 Bolton came from two goals down to rescue a draw. Well done to durham_exile for being the only one to have this spot-on, though 7 did get the outcome by going for a 1-1. PORTSMOUTH 3 PLYMOUTH 0 A comfortable win for unbeaten Portsmouth over bottom-of the-table Plymouth. There was a decent 5 who got this spot-on, with another 22 having the outcome. SOUTHEND 1 CHARLTON 2 Charlton netted an 87th minute winner in a match which saw three players sent off in stoppage time, after a 18-man brawl. One of them being ex-U's loanee Fosu. Another late winner that will please the 4 who had this spot-on, and 3 more got the outcome. WYCOMBE 1 LUTON 1 Pearson earned Luton a point in a tale of two penalties where Wycombe's Jacobson scored one and missed another. There were 5 who got this spot-on, and 1 more had the outcome. BURY 3 MORECAMBE 2 Morecambe doubled their goal tally for the season, with ex U's loanee Mandeville getting the second, but they still came out on the wrong end of a five goal thriller. Nobody got this spot-on, but a big 25 did have the outcome. NOTTS COUNTY 1 FOREST GREEN 3 10-man Notts County continued with their disastrous start to the league campaign, as Forest Green continued with their unbeaten start to the season. Again no 3 pointer for anybody, and surprisingly, considering their relative league positions, only 2 had the outcome. There were 20 who predicted this was the day Notts County were going to turn their season round. SWINDON 1 MK DONS 1 In a week of late goals Swindon get a 94th minute equaliser, as MK Dons still remain unbeaten for the season. That late goal was good news for the 5 who had this spot-on, and 2 more got the outcome. The fist big ten game week of the season, that continued a common theme from last season of late goals putting a different complexion on the weeks results. Four of them in total, with the one for Derby having the biggest influence. With three fixtures not producing a 3 pointer the final total of 35 spot-ons was a decent return. There were four members, all from Division One, who did magnificently to have three 3 pointers, with Colukev leading the way by having the wins for Wolves and Charlton and the Wycombe draw spot-on, and with four outcomes , he is the weeks top scorer with a brilliant 13 points. Just missing out on that honour was TheFatGooner, who had the wins for Derby and Portsmouth and the Wycombe draw spot-on, as he gets an excellent 12 points. A superb 11 points was obtained by durham_exile, by having the Derby win to go with the Wycombe and Preston draws spot-on, to complete an excellent day for him. The final member to have three 3 pointers was oxfcolu, they were the wins for Wolves and Derby and the Wycombe draw, to give him an impressive 10 points. That same total was also achieved by gsy163, by having the wins for Wolves and Derby spot-on, and four outcomes. In the Premier Another member to have two 3 pointers was RSCOSWORTH, the Derby 2-1 and the Wycombe 1-1, on his way to a decent 8 points, and those points were enough to take him back to the top. The very good week for gsy163 moves him up four places into second. Another solid week from noah4x4 keeps him in the final Charity Shield spot. Another one to benefit from that late Derby winner was mfb_cufc, as that gives him a first 3 pointer of the season. After his record breaking last season thrillseeker to still seeking the thrill of a 3 pointer this season. But with more outcomes than anybody in both divisions, it shows just what a fine line there is between a 3 pointer and an outcome. Having now missed the first four weeks of the season I have to make that unfortunate decision to expel Gate16 from all Happy League competitions. He has been one of the most consistent members in the Premier for a number of seasons, nearly always challenging for the title, so it is sad to be losing him. I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with him, and he is more than welcome to join again any time in future. In Division One No surprise to find the weeks big hitters dominating this league. With his second double figure score this season, Colukev stretches his lead at the top to a decent 5 points. Moving up into the other automatic spot is oxfcolu. An impressive start from this newcomer, and also from another newbie TheFatGooner who moves up five places into third. The biggest mover in this league was durham_exile, up nine places, and into the play-off spots. With almost every other member scoring 5 or 6 points, there is very little change to the rest of this division. Three no shows has those members occupying the bottom three places. In the case of Colu_Lancashireexile he is in the last chance saloon after missing the last three weeks. THE TABLES (28 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 5 Fixtures The first International break of the season means we have 6 fixtures from Leagues 1 and 2, and a first mention this season for the 12 teams involved.
