Brexit is just like Nazi Germany in the 30's on 23:05 - Jan 20 by Kilkennyjack
The UK is no longer the 5th largest economy in the world. Brexit has set us off on a downwards spiral. pic.twitter.com/TPCj4XbS5s

Look at this suckers. You feckwits own this shite.
Less money for our schools, hospitals, roads, military, etc. And the whole world is laughing at our idiotic demise.
Unless I’m mistaken we were still very much a part of the EU for the whole of 2019. A year which seen nothing but uncertainty caused by idiots trying their upmost to stop the inevitable. Come back in a couple of years Kilkenny lad. Trying to gloat now is a bit silly really.

The only inevitable is that our young people will vote us back in within a decade.
It will be a lot worse in 2 years.

It wasn't just the older Germans. It wasn't older Germans who joined the SA and went around committing crimes at the orders of the Fuhrer and his cohorts. Germans of all ages and social groups fell for it.
An extra 200,000 people in work since September. Unemployment down 7000 in November. The number in work still continues to grow despite the pessimism spread by the remoaners.

Well done on posting estimates of 2019 GDP. Why don't you wait for the a actual figures to come out. They are due in March to help you. Carry on publishing project fewer predictions if it makes you fell better.

Big day today, the elected devolved governments in Scotland, Wales, and the North of Ireland all withheld their consent for Johnsons shiitty Brexit deal.
First time ever.
Johnson will carry on regardless, but where will it all end ... 🇪🇺 â¤ï¸

But the people of Wales voted for Brexit. The labour run Welsh assembly is defying the wishes of the Welsh voters. You would think the Welsh Labour party would have learned the lesson of the general election where labour lost seats In their heartlands for defying their supporters wish.

It’s nice to know they’ve got time to waste faffing about with things not within their remit whilst the country they are supposedly governing is falling to shite.
The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Except of course they are required to give consent if the uk govt is making decisions that effect the areas that are devolved. Which Brexit clearly is.
I can only assume your comments relate to HS2 and Brexit, i agree with you.

Brexit is just like Nazi Germany in the 30's on 09:09 - Jan 22 by Lohengrin
Hardly anybody.
Ah Lohengrin, it's a waste of effort though I do keep trying admittedly. Kilk likes to say things like the majority didn't vote for (add target) but refuses to accept it when the same reasoning is applied to his views. For example, Welsh elections turnout at 45.3% means the majority didn't even vote let alone vote for Labour whereas, for brexit, in Wales there was a 71% turnout. Then there's Scottish indy, at the GE 55% of voters voted for other parties than the SNP, by Kilks usual logic that is not a mandate for indy at all. He is guilty of the same madness as Momentum in refusing to admit he is wrong or admit defeat and doubles down on his demands/predictions.
Of course he could be right but it's his refusal to even consider he could be wrong that is the issue. Time will tell.

The Welsh people of course. Or was it a rhetorical question? It will be interesting to see how many seats Labour will lose in next year's Welsh Assembly elections if they keep defying the wishes of the Welsh people. It is time Drakeford concentrated on sorting out the mess in Wales. The NHS would be a good start plus the M4 debacle which everyone in Wales needs urgent action.
Kilkenny only see things through his orange, green, white tinted glasses. He has a huge chip on his shoulder but prefers not to love in his Republic paradise.

This could be an obvious course of reasoning felixstowe, at the GE usually reliable Labour seats turned blue and of course the Tories doubled their presence in Wales. Maybe in Wales the people will turn against Labour too, on the back of Drakeford taking up the 'ignoring the people' baton. This Welsh government has done consultations and seems to ignore anything it doesn't agree with. Did the Welsh people say we were all for banning reasonable punishmnet of children and giving the vote to 16 year olds? I don't remember the results being made public though I could have missed them. Jess Phillips has stood down because she has realised she cannot unite Labour, definitely not as long as Momentum have so much power.

They’re not required to give consent in any way, shape or form. This is merely a symbolic and overly theatrical throwing out of the dummy. But at least it’s reminded people they are still there. Shame they aren’t as vocal on other issues.

You are completely wrong.
‘However, since 1999 the UK government has followed a convention, known as the Sewel Convention, that the UK Parliament “will not normally legislate with regard to devolved matters without the consent” of the devolved legislatures.
The convention applies when UK legislation:
changes the law in a devolved area of competence alters the legislative competence of a devolved legislature alters the executive competence of devolved ministers.’
No need to thank me.

Not in Wales.
The UK voted in the general election. The UK voted in the referendum. How many results do you want to ignore.
The NI, Scottish, English and Welsh MPs have just approved the withdrawal agreement in the UK parliament. You were quite happy when Parliament was blocking Brexit you called it democracy.
The people kicked out those MPs who defied the people's will. That is democracy in action.

Which is in no way legally binding. The UK government reserves the right to legislate on any issue. Foreign affairs and international treaties are clearly within their remit.
