Salisu Update For Everyone !! 16:30 - Dec 4 with 527 viewsTimSaint

Here we go then, from the Official Site. Could just be another fob off though !! :-)

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhüttl has revealed summer signing Mohammed Salisu could be in contention to feature in a matchday squad for the first time when Saints head to Brighton on Monday night.

The 21-year-old centre-back signed from Real Valladolid in August, but has had to be patient for his first appearance, as he built his fitness up after injury and worked with his new team.

While there was no guarantee from Hasenhüttl that he would be involved, he explained Salisu had made good progress and could be considered alongside the potential returns of Danny Ings and Nathan Redmond.

"Ingsy and Reddy are starting to train now and this week will be part of the sessions and then we will have a look how competitive they are. Sali is also a step further forward in his development, so we have a few more alternatives in the future and this is good," said Hasenhüttl.

"All of these players it is possible they are in the squad on Monday. We will have a look for whom it is possible and for whom it is too early.

"Now is the busiest time of the year, and in the beginning of this time we seem to have everybody back and fit in the team and we need everybody now, this is for sure, because now becomes a busy time."
