I am confused. We don’t loan players out to other clubs because they don’t play like we do yet we have loaned out a shedload of players recently. We needed cover for both full backs positions but have let both covering full backs go out on loan. We promote players from within to full the gaps yet we let them out on loan.
As someone pointed out, our full backs are crucial to the way we play. By putting Stephens there you immediately nullify the attacking options down that flank. By putting JWP there you weaken the strong midfield set up we have. I can just about understand letting Vokins go despite Ralph saying that he wants 2 players for every position, but letting Valery go without getting a replacement in seems crazy. I don’t have a problem with not bringing a player in if he isn’t on your target list and those that are aren’t available, but it seems irresponsible to weaken the squad (which is not blessed with a lot of quality in depth) further by letting a player with a reasonable amount of 1st team experience go. I guess Ramsey will be back up for Bertie ( is he a left or right back? If a right back Valery has been ahead of him anyway?) and we just have to hope that KWP comes back quickly, stays fit and doesn’t get suspended.

Not sure what people wanted from this window, if we didnt have this injury run i dont think we would have been looking for much in it.
If everyone gets back fit and the minamino deal goes throughthen we will have improved the squad, so it may be looked back in hindsight as a good window.
Few people have spent any money other than those at the bottom or Liverpool who are in an injury crisis.
No one has any money at the moment people have to accept this is not a normal window and look to what we can build.

Look as nick stated their is a pandemic so we must get rid of as many players as possible , goalkeepers are cheap let’s play 11 of them we started well with 3 in the squad against Man Utd . Sunderland and Birmingham are best looking after our full backs as they prob have more money than us.
