With Theo Walcott out through injury and Takumi Minamino cup tied, Hasenhuttl had a bit of of good news for Saints fans on the defensive front.

Could we see Mohammed Salisu make his first appearance for the club?

The Ghanaian centre-back signed from Real Valladolid in the summer but has yet to make his debut due to a number of injury set backs.

On injuries Hasenhuttl said: "We have Kyle Walker-Peters back and Mohammed Salisu is now able to play.

"We still have five injured players but it’s getting better, the squad is getting bigger now and it’s giving me more opportunities.

"The more alternatives we have the more we can rotate in the next games and this is what we will have to do."

He looked a bit rusty for me against Newcastle and I’d prefer to give him more game time and rest JB who looks like he needs to step back for a bit.
