They lack pace with the centre halves that Southgate prefers so against higher ranked teams he goes with a back 3 with Walker. Walker however is prone to the odd gaffe.
He then goes with attacking wing backs who can leave the centre halves exposed, so plays 2 defensive midfielders to shield them, though Bellingham can do more than that.
That leaves 3 front players who rely on creativity from the wing backs and the wide players to create chances for Kane. The problem is that they get isolated from the rest of the team.
Unless they are desperate not to lose I expect him to play a back 4 against us which will be susceptible to attacking with pace. [Post edited 23 Sep 2022 22:21]
