I was in the Congleton area this morning and bumped into some fans..they are clearly disappointed that the manager was sacked..doing a good job by all accounts..unfortunately with the allegation re his time at Chesterfield the club had no option but to dismiss him.

I believe the kit man is the assistant manager for today.

They also said the BBC had threatened to pull out of the TV coverage of todays game if the situation was not resolved .
