Just looking back on this day in 1978, we were at home to Coventry City, I remember it as being quite cold in the Archers road end, which was then of course all terrace. Coventry had hardly any supporters there, they might even have been restricted to just the small section of terrace under the score board meaning barely 200, although I can't beleive they had that few. Bizarely that season although they had a fence up in the Archers to segregate fans, you could still walk behind the away fans to go to the tea bar. There was a singing section under the West Stand next to the away fans and i remember they were singing We wish you a merry Xmas and the score is 4-0 to the Coventry few. | |
