Excellent albeit unexpected win tonight for Forest.
Maybe the catalyst they need to survive

Given their
Evel of spending they should be well up the table. But really … so what?

Not really, they had the weakest squad upon promotion, wasn’t even worth £40m.

Their level of spending has only enabled them to match clubs 15th ish in the league in terms of overall squad value (largely due to sheer number rather than individual quality), and only 19th in average player value.

So the 11 that take to the pitch are the 19th most valuable, roughly speaking. If they stay up this season he will have done extremely well, especially handling and managing so many new players.

The only table that matters mate is the league table at the end of the season.

Matters to what?

A table showing the league table at the end of the season wouldn’t matter to the point I made. The point I made was in relation to money being spent not equating to expectations on the field unless that is translated into a higher quality starting 11.

Forest have the 19th most valuable £ per player ratio. Their squad value simply comes from having lots of them, which isn’t necessarily a positive thing.
