Cullen for decent money, the Swans have a one year option. If Wood did go we would be lucky to bank 3 million but he fits the player trading model. We wouldnāt miss Wood or Cullen. Cabango, Humphreys ( at times ) and Darling are more than capable of matching Woodās current contribution. We have Tymon and Pedersen the latter I canāt see progressing much. |
Is it time to build for the future and use Pedersen instead of Humphreys, who presumably be gone at the end of the season or offer Chelsea a cheeky bid now and test if he fits into Chelsea's long term plans but maybe not seeing as he is contracted until June 2027 and valued at Ā£5m. We tried adding a bid of experience at the back against Bournemouth with Naughton to help the younger players but that didn't work why not Pedersen?

From what I've seen of Pederson he's been fine, bit of a steady Eddie I suppose, but that's where we are at the moment.

Not for me every time seen pederson got caught out position getting exposed and constantly give ball away

And that is the problem that Williams has got to address, Teams are working out how to play against the three at the back, since the rule changes it has become the revolutionary new way of playing, it would appear that by adopting the 4-4-2 system it counters it quite well, it was w was deemed a revelation when used by the England team in 1966 it can counter the good old centreforward and two wingers leaving the lone centre forward all at sea and exposes the the defenders by compacting the middle while protecting the wings, again sounds familiar. It has become very much the case of using the right tactics to counter formation which with five subs the tactics or formation can be changed on a whim but we must have the right players to change game we cry and yet Martin had the same players at the end of the last season who with a change of tactics suddenly became promotion contenders. We have players but can Williams utilise them and will he have to change tactics and players to suit their capabilities to the tactics used to counter other teams. If you look at the likes of Mowbray, his tactics seem to work out well in first half of games but seems unable to adapt to second half formation changes at the moment is that a lack of understanding in the players at his new club. We shouldn't be depending solely on loans, the bulk of the team should be our own players settled but able to be adaptable as they develop together forming lasting bonds by lasting I mean more that six months or even more than a year. Hope we come out of the transfer window with players Williams can use well over his time here. Last thing, can we keep Carl Rushworth for a while please?. [Post edited 30 Jan 10:14]

Where were all these fans when they were dropping out of the league? Most clubs (ourselves included) would come out in their thousands to try and save league football. Nobody cared in wrexham until Hollywood rolled into town. Lets see what happens when the novelty wears off which it inevitably will. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Itās amazing what support you can garner in your local population by sending them all a bottle of free gin.

He/she/they also said on the other hand we may sign no one at all !! So a typical close of window day at SA1

Based on performance by Wood I think he would be criticised by the S HamptonBoard if he did
