You are correct in criticising the substitution of our top scorer who is probably the hardest worker in the team for the exact opposite in Mara.

Surely if Adam Armstrong was going to be replaced, Bednarek should of been brought on to see the game out with 5 across the back.

An odd game against a poor Boro team who got what they came for.
If ever a goalscorer in Ross Stewart was needed it was yesterday.

Still on to Ipswich this Monday.
We really are drinking in the last chance saloon.

WE MARCH ON

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.
Poll: Knowing what we know now, should we have sacked Hasenhüttl?

Weird how you once single out Stephens as part of the problem. He was mom yesterday.

You give Baz a free pass every week, despite a mistake every game.
Or what about KWP cr ap marking for the goal?

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?

Che should be hanging his head in shame today.
That miss was criminal, two nil up and we'd likely got another one.
This is one of the primary reasons we will likely miss out on promotion.
How many games this season have we been 1 up and generally dominating the game, miss chances and then concede.
Watford, Huddersfield, Rotherham ffs!, and now Boro.
8 points blown.
As someone on Saints Web rightly pointed out.. Oh for a Cork, Shneiderlin or Hammond alongside Downes.
We're too lightweight in the middle.
We're too reliant on Armstrong to score.
We have a keeper who is too young, small and average.
Glad Stephens got MOTM, he's never been part of the problem this season. 1 defeat with him playing tells you that.
Most defensive mistakes have been committed by Manning and Bazunu, therein lies our defensive issues.
Have to say overall I've still loved this season though.

We have Aribo and he should be playing alongside Downes
And agree about Che AND the pints dropped against lowly opposition at home
It ALL falls on Wussells shoulders and his stubborn ego

Downes Rothwell and Stuart Armstrong in midfield.
Stuart Armstrong was struggling after 60 minutes and Rothwell or Aribo should of been on for him.

I fail to see why Smallbone starts. Too slow, too lightweight.
Very ‘safe’ footballer as was JWP.
But that is another story.

he plays because he does exactly what martin wants passing 5 yards sideways and backwards,he offers very little else because he doesnt threaten going forward and cant tackle,in other words offers very little
