| Idah , looks slow and clueless 16:09 - Sep 27 with 31270 views | Wales | Hope I am wrong but so far this guy looks garbage. All well and good scoring a few in the jock pub league but today he was slow and looked totally out of his depth when he came on , even getting in the way of Vipotnik who was about the smash it goal bound. When he was put through clean on goal he was slow and non committed, also reacted like a snail at the end when it came back off the keeper, then ball placed perfectly on his head to nut it miles over. His record at Norwich was 8 goals in 100 games, that hardly inspires confidence, it was a bit better playing in the pub league but when your squad costs 10 times the amount of virtually all the others thats not hard. £6 million wasted I am afraid. I doubt if the dud gets us 10 league goals this season. [Post edited 27 Sep 2025 16:11]

He doesn't look dynamic enough for a man with a strongly built frame . Maybe some gym work - Plyometrics , short sharp sprints , medicine ball work / core strength work .... just a thought . I don't know what it is but he seems to be a tad too timid and not aggressive enough You expect a centre forward to have a bit more bite even his expression when subbed gives nothing away , there's like a lack of emotion there that kinda says ....oh well never mind.

He needs to lose some and EOM put it on I suggest our players waste their time on the Gym looking at them

| Idah , looks slow and clueless on 09:27 - May 3 with 1794 views | Dr_Winston | So, now we've had a full season to look at him, I'm cautiously optimistic. Interesting to note that Idah's league goal per minute figure is only slightly off Zan's (138 vs 128). He's also only one goal short of Vipi's total for last season. That's with a lot of mostly sub appearances and a significant injury in the second half of the season. If Vipi does go, he's earned the chance to prove himself capable of being the first choice IMO. | |

To me he looks a far better player after coming back from his injury than before, is it true he was carrying an injury before he was sidelined.

I think he’s already been earmarked as main striker as soon as we get the right price for Vipi We then can bring in a striker of quality to supplement I detest these posts from 8 months ago brought up purely to show someone might have been wrong We are where we are We should concentrate on contemporary matters when possible

I still think we will go into the international market and try and look for a unknown gem (Excluding Yates 😂) . Something we always have done in recent times. And compete with Idah. Bobby Wales think needs to be sent out on loan and hopefully get more game time. [Post edited 3 May 12:52]

Idah and Zan are different types of players,Zan is an out and out Centre Forward and Idah is more of a second striker ,he has played a lot on the left using his pace to run onto balls and cut in We looked good with both of them on yesterday

Agreed if Idah was our main striker next season we would have to change the way we play, possibly more like yesterday when he came on with two more advanced. But against better teams that would leave us very light in midfield.
| Idah , looks slow and clueless on 14:26 - May 3 with 1390 views | howenjack | The Adam Idah we saw yesterday was a very different player from the one we were seeing 7 months ago . Whether that was down to injury /confidence or whatever I don't know but he looked the real deal yesterday. Looking forward I think we should try and get more goal contributions from the rest of the squad . Full backs , centre backs midfielders all need to chip in and score more. Coventry have set the bench mark this season with that approach - and it works . Despite shipping quite a lot of goals they have outscored everyone else and it isn't just down to Simms and Wright upfront they have shared the goals around the squad . This has obvious benefits in that if the main striker is injured / suspended the blow is softened by the knowledge that everyone else knows and can find the net if needed . Torp Rudoni Mason Clarke Grimes even Bobby Thomas at centre half have all scored their fair share there is no huge reliance on the front man , good as he has been , that makes them a far more dangerous side . The other team still profiting from this approach is PSG . They are a joy to watch as they flood forward Kheravaskela Duoe Barcola even Hakim at full back they all know where the net is and can find it . Total football and a joy to watch . Bayern play the same way but a little more conservative even with Harry Kane up front they can hit you with Lucas and Michael Olise ( whose game has definitely gone up a notch or two since leaving Palace) . I know the championship is light years away from Champions league standards but the template they follow is the one we should be trying to emulate . Attack quickly and in force and when the chance presents itself , it's nailed . We all go on about stats and figures . The one that really matters is the scoreline after 90 mins + . Every team player should be totally comfortable in putting the ball in the net under pressure - the All Blacks adopted the same approach with tries in rugby and left the world behind in the eighties and nineties . Goals win games. | | | |

Great news if he is to turn out anything remotely like Martin Chivers. What a centre forward.

Great post, I think that Matos also deserves a lot of credit, the players look to be playing with a lot more confidence and freedom he's definitely improved most of them.
| Idah , looks slow and clueless on 19:34 - May 4 with 873 views | jack_lord | Idah's presence on the pitch is more noticeable before has injury and he has shown his strength agility skill and, dare I say it, pace. His finishing for the 2 goals was very good and showed how training turns in to text book goals. Hopefully his desire can be maintained in the coming season. | |
