I reckon mid table obscurity isn't so much beckoning , more like it has already got us in a bear hug! I watched events unfold this afternoon online with Sky pictures but the BBC Radio Oxford commentary and on both occasions when first Leo and then Fellows were subbed off the obviously Oxford biased commentators were high fiving each other with delight, both times they said the O's players will be delighted to see the back of them. How true that was, as soon as Leo is subbed we lose the heartbeat of the team going forward. We have a good outfield 10 to start a game but not much strength in depth from the bench. All said and done, a poor Oxford side should have been dispatched today despite the managerial change, end of. [Post edited 26 Dec 18:05]

We love to lose to the bottom placed clubs - Norwich recently, now Oxford. That's because we have a sh1t mindset - a "We don't need to try too hard" attitude. The fact is clubs see us as a big scalp, one that's just come down from the Premier League & they put a real shift in against us. That's why managers always go on about "a winning mentality". We don't have that. We seem to approach games half-arsed a lot of the time & you can see in some players that they aren't up for the fight some weeks. That just makes the team inconsistent and that's exactly what we are ; inconsistent. Just look at last few games for proof of that. Someone somewhere over at Staplewood needs to give the players a kick up the arse and impress on Eckert the need to approach each game 100% committed or fu(k off.

Naivety I'm afraid from a young, naïve manager. Hopefully he'll learn to stop wrapping the likes of Leo & Fellows in cotton wool.
