What a good manager Southampton Academy product, Phil Parkinson is. He was the FA Cup Manager of the Year in 2015 and could be again this year, as well as possibly achieving yet another promotion: he's won 4 already and also got Bradford all the way to the League Cup Final, beating Arsenal and Aston Villa along the way.
It's surprising he's gone under the radar of Premier League teams. One of Forest's players cost more than his entire Wrexham team. Very modest post-match interview from him too. He really didn't want to take any praise for himself at all. [Post edited 10 Jan 9:57]

Wrexham are pretty much everything we are not at the moment.
Relatively young owners you can reach out and touch... routinely seen in the stand or in the dressing room..committed to the cause. Their day jobs give them access to the US ways of running a marketing and PR savvy commercial activity.
A manager, as you have said, with a proper "hard miles on the clock" experienced look to his CV.
Team looks to have a nice blend of young and battle scarred veterans.
