Our Archer has strings to his bow and goals in his quiver. More power to his elbow ( his Spanish cousin ). Winning goals off the bench are gold dust at this end of the campaign. I'm really glad for the bloke. |

Holy crap...Google tells me you are right....a stonking 0-1 home loss to the Canaries. O'Halloran a 65th minute sub...never seen again...legend. You win the Watney's Red Barrel Party 7 prize. The only beer in history that looked, smelt and tasted like gerbil piss. |

Here's one for afficionados...courtesy of playing my Google Joker Card. Stephen O'Halloran...played 120 minutes for the Swans and 25 (twenty five ) minutes for us around 2007/8. Free Watney's Red Barrel Party 7 kegs for life goes to anyone on here who actually witnessed what could only be described as a low key career. |

Agreed on Archer. His first goal at SMS this season. Eckert needs his fringe players to be ready and motivated for the final push. We've been lucky with injuries this past month or so. That can always change. As for Larin...Love that guy. |

I hear he was shit at that too. Probably he was the bloke who sculpted Rusty's barnet. |

Watford should go for broke. Hire Andy Crosby (our old assistant under Adkins ), keep Ed and recruit Will as well, then tap up Marc Nash from Blyth Spartans... Do all that and, hey presto, you've got a decent band back together. |

If you subscribe to the old adage that Bookies are rarely far off the mark.............. Top 2 Finish...Ipswich 4/9...M'boro 7/2....Millwall 10/1...Saints 18/1 ( most popular bet today with the big books and is therefore set to shorten ) Just for fun...Skates to go down 4/5. |

If you're partial to a Cathedral, you're heading to a couple of good examples. |

Surely there is nothing to debate here. Let's look at the pros and cons of being in the Championship next year.. Pros....Couple of lovely days out at Blackburn, Hull and Preston... Mmm..Fun? Chance to beat the behemoths of English football like Charlton Oxford Swansea Cons....Club's revenue off a precipice Nigh on certain loss of Eckert Extremely likely loss of THB, Scienza and Charles or Downes Highly unlikely extension to Peretz and Larin loans The Championship is for losers. We can be a functioning Prem outfit again. As discussed a month or two back, Reynolds and his mate sold 10% of Wrexham for £25m to Apollo Sports (part of the giant Apollo asset manager)...a price that was no doubt based on them reaching the Prem. I can't see why Solak wouldn't dilute if the price is right and he keeps his UBO status. We are no way a smaller club than Rectum. |
 | Forum Reply | We should have taken to the Iranians Many Decades Ago at 15:13 8 Apr 2026
You can't beat an old fashioned "everyone thinks they won " truce. Trump now thinks he's even smarter than he thought ( high bar ) Iranians can go back to do what they do best which is to negotiate in never ending circles without actually having any intention of agreeing anything. They will assume that any threat to restart the war by Trump is a bluff and they will call it. They know Tump looked into the abyss yesterday and blinked. They can return to their favourite pastime...shithousery. Is it my imagination or does Pete Hegseth's face look like a baboon's arse. |
 | Forum Reply | Cyle Larin at 12:55 8 Apr 2026
Hopefully Larin wasn't on some of the " special juice" that Johnson liked to take. Actually, if they gave the sloth some of that shit, it might make that critter a bit more competitive. |
 | Forum Reply | Is Tonda Eckert THE ONE? at 08:09 8 Apr 2026
The Summer will be dictated entirely by whether we go up or not. If we do, the chances of Eckert staying are pretty good. If we don't, the sharks will circle Eckert, Harwood-Bellis, Scienza and probably Downes and Charles. Then there are the Peretz and Larin loans to be addressed. Yikes...we had better go up methinks. |

Shared an office once with a bloke from a Welsh mining family background. He used to come out with this strange phrase to describe surprise..."Well I'll be rogered with a knotted pit-prop ". If he is still with us I would think he came out with it again tonight. Glad Larin got on the score sheet. Looking at our bench tonight, Eckert has basically created quality back up in most positions. |

Doesn't meet the thread's brief, but Phil Parkinson was on our books as a young fellow-me-lad. Didn't feature in the First Team. |

Having watched Arteta's "face like a smacked arse" post-match interview, I got the feeling that the following conversation had just taken place in the dressing room... Arteta :: How did you idiots lose to those wa**ers. Odegaard::Cos they were a lot better than us, Gaffer. |
