| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

There was also a Duffy, Casey and Lacey on the pitch which reminded me of many trips to Moss Rose back in the day... In fact Richard Duffy made his debut there coming on as a sub for Mickey Howard in a 4-1 defeat in the FA Cup... A great day for The Silkmen [Post edited 10 Jan 14:48]

My dad’s brother lived in Hereford, and got us tickets for the game v Newcastle. A huge shock. I played with Ken Mallender and Roger Griffiths about 8 years after that game, they played in the old Mid Wales League, and they said most of the Hereford team had a good night out the night before the game. That Hereford team played 79 matches that season, with a squad of 17.

After a 1-1 draw at Upton Park, Martin Thomas got the winner when Jon Coates passed inside to him. That was one of the stand out wins in FA Cup history as WHIU were a top six Premier League club then wifh players like Rio Ferdinand. As we were drawn away and then knocked them out that takes some beating. I’m not sure that we ever got the praise we deserved for that. Defensively that season wifh John hHollins was our best ever. Macclesfield beating a much changed Palace team at home is right up there. As was the Colchester win against Leeds Utd. Hereford beating Newcastle also.

Went to both games, we had two coaches running from Gloucester and Bristol. Anyone on coach one will remember the away game fondly.

Yes I was too. Seem to recall that West Ham equalised with a late penalty at Upton Park. I thoroughly enjoyed that season and was at Rotherham when we clinched promotion. Along with around 2000 others. So many 1-0 wins that season. What a defence. Freestone, Bound, Smith, Howard, Jones, Price.

I wasn't at West Ham, but it was a memorable night at the Vetch. Ranks as one of the best amongst a long history of spectating.
