I didn’t see today’s game but it’s obvious that a couple of errors were costly. Cabango and Vipotnik seem to have cost us three points. We are improving. Much better to watch. More enjoyable and interesting with an energetic style. Getting forward quicker in possession and closing down opponents higher up the pitch and doing it with an intensity. Individual errors happen in every game. Unfortunately today they were costly. Van Dyke cost Liverpool a defeat earlier when he missed a simple ball completely. It was windy today which no doubt made for difficult conditions. You seem to relish it when we lose. You may be just on a constant wind up which would be sad. Either way you’re not contributing anything of note to this forum. I’d have thrown you off it by now. |

Free hit ? It’s Hull not Liverpool or Arsenal Every Championship match is an opportunity to pick up points. We have an excellent 19 points from 10 games. They are a bit better than that but they have scored 19 and conceded 19 at home. With four home losses already. Granted our away form isn’t good ( so far )but we go there with confidence. I’ve not been to Hull since 2003 but it’s not an intimidating venue. It’s a game we can win. No doubt. |

1. Beer being spilled 2. View being obscured by people passing to get to the bar 3. View being obscured by people needing a piss 4. Drunkenness 5. Drunkenness leading to crowd trouble 6. Drunkenness leading to fighting 7. Leave it to the rugby. It’ll probably be banned at rugby soon anyway. Just no need to be drinking beer at football. Anyone who can’t go 45 mins without a drink would be better off staying in a pub. Simply no need for it during the game. 🍻 |

Now only seven points off the play off places where the likes of Millwall and Preston are. What a league this is! Got the job done tonight. Blackburn are without several players and were disappointing. We beat them comfortably even though too many of our players weren’t at their best and you can include Cabango, Stamenic, Franco, Widell and Galbraith in that. Good to see Cooper back. He did quite well in his 30 mins considering his lack of match fitness. Cullen though who I do like was awful tonight wasnt he. I’m enjoying Swansea games again. Matos has changed the whole feeling around the club but I’m not sure why we need 37 coaches. 😂 |

Absolutely pointless. In every respect. |
 | Forum Reply | Swansea v Blackburn Rovers : Fans boycott & a team in absolute turmoil at 19:34 19 Jan 2026
They have an excellent away record. Mainly a defensive approach getting players behind the ball, a low block as it’s now called with the ability to get forward quickly. Counter attacking in a low risk way it probably won’t be pretty. They don’t score or concede too often but they are capable of being a very difficult opponent for us tomorrow. |
 | Forum Reply | Swans v Blues : Chris Davies under real pressure this weekend at 00:35 18 Jan 2026
He runs around a lot. That’s not in dispute. But as for being “one of the first names on the team sheet?” Hardly. If he can start to turn his energy and enthusiasm into something that is actually productive then we might have a player on our hands. Meanwhile he’s got a lot to learn. Running around a lot like a Jack Russell on heat isn’t going to cause too many problems for opponents in this League. |

A good young promising player he’s signed at Leyton Orient on loan. Can travel to training from home etc so possibly a good move where he’s guaranteed full games. |

It was a poor decision to sub him. Unnecessary. He looked dejected as he walked back. |

Yes I was too. Seem to recall that West Ham equalised with a late penalty at Upton Park. I thoroughly enjoyed that season and was at Rotherham when we clinched promotion. Along with around 2000 others. So many 1-0 wins that season. What a defence. Freestone, Bound, Smith, Howard, Jones, Price. |

In the FACup, the first Premier League club to lose to a team from the bottom division in the football league was West Ham Utd When they played Swansea in 1999. After a 1-1 draw at Upton Park, Martin Thomas got the winner when Jon Coates passed inside to him. That was one of the stand out wins in FA Cup history as WHIU were a top six Premier League club then wifh players like Rio Ferdinand. As we were drawn away and then knocked them out that takes some beating. I’m not sure that we ever got the praise we deserved for that. Defensively that season wifh John hHollins was our best ever. Macclesfield beating a much changed Palace team at home is right up there. As was the Colchester win against Leeds Utd. Hereford beating Newcastle also. |

Yes he did miss a penalty in that game. I’m not sure why he took it. There was an explanation at the time but I can’t recall it. Either the usual taker wasn’t on the pitch or no one else had the balls to take it. And the German referee was lucky to get out of the ground in one piece. He was very biased … didn’t he award a dodgy penalty to Yugoslavia as well ? That Welsh team didn’t really get the recognition it deserved. Toshack and Leighton James were top players and Dai Davies never let Wales down. Another proud Welsh man. I’ve just read about his heroic efforts at the Bradford City fire 40 years ago. After what he went through with that and his son didn’t he turn to the booze ? I seem to recall but unsure. A good, modest fella apparently, a family man, very sad news, he was a legendary Welsh footballer undoubtedly. |

Was an inspirational captain and leader on that pitch for Wales, leading us to the Euros 1/4 final stage in 1976 where we were very unlucky to lose to Yugoslavia. I was at the game in Cardiff when incidentally the Wales team featured five players who went into manage Swansea City ( a good quiz question that is ). Apparently he never fully recovered from losing his son to a heart problem when playing football in the garden with him. Also led Swansea City as our manager taking us to promotion. A dogged determined player. Not too many messed with Yorath. That Leeds mentality of the day I suppose. |

He’s coming back as we have a few injury problems. A capable player but he needs to be more consistent. |

Just bought four tickets for £29 including one for my 10 year old grandson at £1. Well done Swansea City. Still something special about the FA Cup for me. |
 | Forum Reply | West Brom New Years Day at 23:37 1 Jan 2026
Two very evenly matched teams, I’m still unsure why we played without a striker at home as we lacked a cutting edge. This “false nine “ stuff? Just don’t do it. Simply no need. Anyway that apart a very hard working performance with a solid contribution from every one out there. And with the play offs now in sight it’s an interesting time. Pleasing for Jay Fulton. A good pro he’s not going to start too often this season but he’s reliable and experienced. I was right behind his shot that ended up in the net. Dipped and might have taken a deflection? When your goalkeeper is man of the match that says a lot. On chances if was even but they (WBA) tended to hit the target, we need to start doing that more often now. Onwards and upwards. Early days of course but our new manager is impressing. |
