| Our Loan Strategy? 13:31 - Jan 16 with 755 views | streetlyjack | Following Casey's return to WHU and especially after him getting pulled out of the cup game on Sunday questions have to beasked about our loan strategy for this season and what the actual plan was? Benson - Arrived with pedigree and I would assume to offer us more attacking threat...cant get in ahead of Ronald who has had a very average season? Samuels Smith - Highly rated and an international through all age groups with England....I dont think he was ever going to get in ahead of Tymon so why waste his time unless we had other plans for him? Yalcouye - Clearly offers us something different in the middle of the park but has hardly played? Casey - Seems to be a very capable player but never got a sniff despite Burgess and Cabango having the wobbles? With the exception of Yalcouye it all seems poorly thought out and executed this season, no real positives either side? Definite improvements needed with regards our loan strategy going forward. | |

Benson was a waste of time, could he really be arsed. Samuels-Smith personally I thought he was poor when he played. Yalcouye flatters to decieve at times. He has the potential to be much better than he has been for us. He's not strong enough for the championship and gets knocked of the ball too easily, but he is learning. Hopefully if he stays with us he will continue to improve. Personally I prefer Widell and I wouldn't play both at the same time. Plus Widell is ours so more important to develop.

I think the parent clubs expected more game time for their players. We have to be careful we don't get a reputation for under using loans otherwise loan fees in the future will be loaded dependant on appearances.
| Our Loan Strategy? on 15:11 - Jan 16 with 528 views | KeithHaynes | Loans this summer were seen as back up. Yalcouyé will be seen a lot more now. He has been involved the last seven games. Casey was back up as was Samuels-Smith. Benson was a risk unless he displayed decent form which he clearly hasn’t it seemed a decent loan signing at the time though. We had replacements in, they served a purpose overall to back up the squad. Had they not been brought in there would be severe tantrums. If you search for signings success by clubs you will see the Swans are very much above average on permanent transfer success too. I haven’t searched on it but have been told by a few people who know far more than i do. | |

He has had a few games and plenty of experience in a match day squad. It seems a decent enough return.

Did Rak-Sakyi's agent advise him not to come because loans in Swansea don't get much game time?

No doubt he went to Turkiye and forgot I his fishing rod and got homesick. It happened to Jonjo Shelvey in his thirties. I do not know why they bother sending these raw kids out there from the city to the tea growing centre. It could not be anymore different than Southwark. Homesick people want to go home. Expect a London club.
