We could all see it at the game retrospective punishment is not enough. Downes was pulled because he was going to get sent off Charles came on and turned the game. As it is Southampton have got 3 points more than they deserve and possibly we have 3 less. |  | | |

We were sat right in line of the Lino and the incident. He saw it clearly but immediately looked down at his boots rather than actually do something. It wasn’t the only blind eye he turned all game either, missing at least 2 clear offsides and Woods’s assault as well. Sheer incompetence or worse? |  | | |

As I said at the time his behaviour in the tunnel at half time was enough to get him hooked. Bloke was possessed. |  |

Cop out with his decision just book both players Widell and Downes turn a blind eye, two other officials didn't see the incident either. Don't know if anyone noticed after Franco got booked he was targeted with constant verbals from a number of the Southampton players. They were rattled and do think with a couple of positive and justifiable decision for the Swans would have changed the balance of the game. | | | |

Maybe but if that is the case the ref should be sacked because if any dangerous/violent conduct is forgotten about as something else happen just after. Imagine Pintado not getting a red card because of the melee that followed. | |

The ref made a mistake end of, no excuses. The powers that be have given Downes a 3 match ban says the ref was wrong with his judgment. | | | |
