We actually pinched JJMorgan from Chelsea when he was 13. It was probably a tactical move to save his parents from lots of travel at the time. He is an attacking midfielder not a forward.
I doubt either moved to Chelsea thinking they would get in the Chelsea first team, that’s not how it works. It’s all about loans and then being sold for a decent fee.

I was staggered we let him go tbh. He was very much thought of as going to be a big thing. He had a very good contract and the club got him a flat in ocean village. And then we binned him with out giving him a chance | |

Ballard's a prolific goal scorer. He averaged nearly a goal a game for Saints U18s & U21s. He was League One Player of the Season and scored 23 league goals last season. We really could do with him next season, but then so could several other clubs. He might not choose us, after we let him go.
