We bought him because we signed a commitment before he even kicked a ball for us, all down to PSR at the time. Sometimes you buy a player and it doesn't work out, isn't the purchase success rate in the championship under 50%. |

That is on one game at the end of last season when there was nothing to play for, for both sides.
I am taking matos' side on this one, if he was that good he wouldn't have been shipped off to america, he would be in the matchday squad. |

We're trying to play a high tempo, high pace facsimile of Klopp's "Rock and Roll Football". You can get away with that against most sides, even if they do sit deep when you have Salah or Mane available. You might need other options if you don't.
We need an option to unpick the lock when the relentless press doesn't work, as it has several times this season already. |  |

I agree, but we do have a few talented players in opoku, yeo and eom.
Ateotd the way we are playing atm most teams are going to give us respect and park the bus.
We have only played 7 league games, we have the best squad for 6 years, the new players are starting to get to know each other, the longer the season goes on the better we are going to get. |  | | |

When you keep the ball further up the field the chances of being turned over and hit on the break like Burnley did lessened and the likelihood is that we can then score more. High athleticism is needed for when we don’t have the ball but if we are keeping the ball better surely there’s less risk? And less risk of burn out?

We've started well but it's a long season.
Our struggle to create opportunities against certain teams even despite our good start hasn't really convinced me that we can afford to easily dispense with a player like Walta, especially considering how little Just is contributing in that AM role so far.
So far I'm getting a bit of an early 2010/11 season vibe. We're doing well, but we could be doing even better with some actual creative quality in that role. It took Rodgers a bit too long to play Stephen Dobbie. Had we done so earlier in the season we could well have gone up automatically. | |

2 goals and an assist
People will say oh but it's only San Marino but still he had a very good game and we definitely signed a good player that for whatever reason VM thinks is surplus to requirements
My take is that our midfield options are overloaded somewhat but also reading between the lines the player wants to play regularly but VM has told him he needs to bide his time in squad rotation.
