It will be a disaster for the UK if the triple lock is done away with, anyone interested in the economics of this country needs to watch the video until the end because the stats and repercussions keep on coming.
Continually being banned by Planet Swans for Porthcawl and then being reinstated.

It has to go but its how they will go about it, today's speech didn't really say anything for this parliament and its not a vote winner for the next election.

Agree with every word.
Personally I'd toughen the language around "persuading" people off benefits. It shouldn't be a choice it should be an absolute necessity, and then with the exception of OAP's and care provision only enough to maintain a basic standard of living.
My direct and second hand experience of some peoples lifestyle on benefits would make peoples eyes water.
From a close relative who spent £10k on three foreign holidays and within days needed a Direct Housing Payment from the council becasue she couldn't pay her rent (not the first time) to a very close mate (45) who says he's retired becasue he lives on benefits due to his wifes ADHD and three kids with ASD (only one seems to need minimal extra help).
I could go on extensively.
and yet at te opposite end , I have a neighbour who this morning was having locks applied on her council house because of her arrears , she has 3 pin money jobs going seperated from a druggy husband with no immediate family to help out and who (very unwisely) ignored the letters from the council , was can all tell stories of feckless people who live the life of riley on benifits but theres a cut off point when you can and cannot claim additional or any benifits at all ,and theres a lot of them .

I heard on the news the explanation from our MP the“Welsh Windbags" son, that we would get an equivalent sum , that our leading party would use as they wanted. Myself, ive come to a point that I dont trust a word any of them say anymore, dont trust what they say or do, they are in my opinion the reason the Country is in the state it is, Thatcher blamed the unions, I blame the politicians.

I'm with you 100%, It doesn't matter which party, which government, they have failed this country for the last 50 years and often (in my opinion) deliberately with their self serving, greedy ways.
