| Five things about Preston 23:40 - Nov 7 with 894 views | PatfromPoole | Sending from digs in Birmingham after seeing a gig here on the way back. 1. Great night out in Preston last night, and the Holiday Inn was a great place to stay. Really friendly staff. I am really not used to that in a hotel. 2. St. Gregory’s Catholic Social Club was a great place for a pre-match meet-up. A football card and a cash prize draw, endearingly reminded me of my youth. 3. Preston showed the way to play against us. They blocked every bloody shot we had. A crap team, but very dogged. 4. Our support was good in numbers but poor in support for the team. Again. Admittedly the team didn’t help, but there are times we have to help get them over the line, and it pains me to say we failed just as much as the team did. If you are going to travel all that way, don’t just fcuk about on your phone. 5. Another utterly shite ref. We seem to have this virtually every game now. [Post edited 8 Nov 0:17]

I fear we may be operating on rather different levels of understanding, but I do admire your confidence. | | | |
