I like what I've seen of him so far, he works hard and just gets on with the job and certainly gets up and down the pitch well and seems like one of those who is a real team player. Perfect for this level, he reminds me of a better version of Bradley Orr.
I would like to see us work on the area of the pitch we want him to cross from, because sometimes we've not maximised the potential of some situations where he's been in good positions. I think we should start out by asking him to cross from deeper, rather than from the byline or around those areas.
It's sometimes difficult for the player who plays at right back to make such a run and be able to find a great cross at the end of it, it takes a lot out of the body and often means the players struggles to connect well from a technical point of view. So while he is impressive getting up and down, we shouldn't ask too much of him all of the time and I think crossing from deeper would suit him a little more and allow him to put diagonal balls in towards the ball post, or whip them deep across the box, and that would probably suit Charlie Austin as well. |  | | |

The RB position seems to have been a headache for ages. Bosingwa strolling about in a world of his own and in some games getting so far out of position Mackie had to cover for him, Neddy getting a nosebleed whenever he ventured anywhere near the halfway line, even Mbia and Anton Ferdinand filling in on occasion. It's just good to have someone suited to that position. |  |
