This thing with famous people and footballers getting tested but a lot of NHS staff unable to get the test kits for themselves, that’s shit isn’t it?

It's transported primarily by air so I don't know if its a case of basic hygiene. It's a crowded unkept dump though. The locals don't really have much respect for the place when I've had the misfortune of having to pass through.

A mate of my son works for Portsmouth city council. Apparently the council have taken Tivoli, a subcontracted out grounds, utilities and maintenance provider back in house and have based all the extra manpower and equipment at their biggest cemetery...Kingston cemetery. Wonder what they are planning for?

"It's a crowded unkempt dump" : but with average house prices more expensive than Soton.

Or perhaps the spread is so much more simple to understand. Just maybe some of the Arsenal hierarchy /players caught it off the Olympiacos team at the end of February, and gave it to the Portsmouth team 5 days later.

So did the 5 people who have died in QA also inhale the same air, touch the same cloth of the anointed ones from Arsenal?

An average doesn't tell much of a story. Perhaps the lack of decent housing ramps up prices even further in the scarcer 'desirable' areas which in turn alters the average price?

Just contacted Zoopla saying they must have made a big error valuing Southampton house prices on average 56,000£ more than Little Pompey.
Rightmove also seem to have made the same error

Sits back and waits for some clever comeback from 130 (possibly involving the greater Portsmouth area )

Portsmouth is now the No1 provincial coronavirus hotspot in the country. A number of victims have died there already.

Yes, Zoopla got back to me this morning admitting their mistake.

Their map didn't include Cobham, Henley On Thames and Sandbanks as part of the
Greater Little Portsmouth area.

Schoolboy error

So lets start with how accurate Zoopla is for starters. Here's a site that comments on it

It appears it's not very accurate at all.

Yes, lets do that.

https://www.hometrack.com/uk/insight/uk-cities-house-price-index/

This is the national price index showing Ports at 241k and Soton at 228k.

The next question will be, how accurate is the national price index?
https://thenegotiator.co.uk/land-registry-house-price-index-most-accurate/

Well, it appears that it is quite accurate.

Is this a clever comeback, not really it's just another fact based response from 130 allowing him to wipe the floor with the opposition.

This is a grade A goon's post.

The OP is on about Portsmouth players, but you are now on about the general public. Well, my guess is that there are more than 4 players who already have it, and have already passed it on to several others.

Portsmouth is a more dynamic place than Soton and therefore the populous travel around a bit more, and hence this is why more people have the virus than your town.

"An average doesn't tell much of a story"
Actually it does tell you quite a bit you enormous buffoon.

"Perhaps the lack of decent housing ramps up prices even further in the scarcer 'desirable' areas"
So why would people still want to come to Portsmouth if it was so undesirable? Surely people would just move out to 'Greater Portsmouth' and the house prices would drop even further.

You've not thought any of this through have you?
... and Buffoon of the Week is septic saint

Yep - eight now dead with another 22 confirmed cases.

The UK as a whole , as regards the number of dead, is exactly the same today as Italy's was 2 weeks ago to the day.

First crowd wrong by 90k then, Plumpot 27k adrift, and Rightmove 6k out.

So between Zoopla and these three, Southampton have been overestimated by 189k, when Little Pompey actually have a higher average house price

I love the Plumpot one, it allows you to use the SO postcode.

It seems that house prices outside Soton are a lot higher than Soton itself. Who'd have thought that?

It appears that the SO postcode area really does have some nice housing. It's such a shame that they can't be counted in the Greater Soton conurbation otherwise Soton would not only have some nice housing, but also a much greater number of great footballers.
