Someone made the point elsewhere that the thinking was to use some of the full backs as wing backs. As for picking him to suck up to Klopp, why would he? Also to be fair to him he had a great end to the season. I am more concerned about Henderson and McGuire. Why take players who are clearly not match fit? How many times have we taken crocks along to tournaments in the hope that magically they will suddenly be fit enough to play? If Henderson is such an integral part of the squad let him go along for the ride but not as a squad member. Someone like JWP has a proven engine and fitness record, quite apart from his dead ball ability.

If Rice gets injured or suspended England are relying on Phillips or a half fit Henderson, not good.

Also no third striker is weird when he’s picked 3 keepers even though he can call one in if he needs backup anyway
