I see that RM is claiming that Sulemana is a key player for the club and somebody he sees as critical to the team.
This is the same RM who has started said player once this season and who has three sub appearances otherwise.
Perhaps if he is "critical" he should have played more?
I get the impression that RM is struggling a little here. He has had at best an average start to the season, has seen his way of playing dismantled by average opposition teams, has struggled to find an alternative but is wanting to get as much support as possible from the media etc by telling them want they want to hear.
I hope Sulemana goes out for the rest of the season and blows the opposition away. If he scores/makes 20 goals for us, I will be very happy.
What I need from RM however is a little honesty and not to be afraid of saying "we tried this, it's not worked, we'll try something else". |  |
