Yesterday driving back from Wales it was noticeable how many people were out and about using up their daily ration of exercise time. As I got nearer home people were out walking, jogging, pushing prams, pensioners on bikes that hadn’t seen the light of day for years, couples in matching tracksuits - all on country roads where you just don’t ever see it. At 6pm I took the dog for a walk and normally don’t see a soul but saw more people out and about. Where I live this increase is ok as it’s relatively rural so you can still easily keep a distance but I dread to think what it must be like in built up areas. Today I shall take the dog for a walk in the fields so I can let him off to get a good run, we have some nice footpaths and bridleways for that providing the ground isn’t wet. Normally you don’t see anyone... As you’re only allowed out once and I’m off work might as well make it a long walk. | |
