The number of key workers getting Covid 19 overtakes positive tests in hospitals 11:06 - May 6 with 571 viewsthissceptredsaint

This is incredibly worrying especially for me and highlights how the government is NOT issuing enough PPE and is using key workers as cannon fodder. I think it highlights the arrogance of Matt Hancock in telling the shadow spokesperson who has gone back to the front line to watch her tone. Clearly excuses regarding 'population density' have absolutely no truck here.

There are going to be more stories like this. Now that we are starting to test significant numbers of people, we can find out how and where the infection is spreading.

And unfortunately in relation to key workers and in care homes it has continued to spread significantly despite lockdown. Thus, the numbers aren't falling fast enough for us to be released from lockdown, which means the lockdown is lasting longer than it might have, which will have its own negative economic and health consequences in the long term.
