We were doomed the minute Saints not only failed to snatch Villa's hand off for the most money Prowse will ever be worth (3+ times his value) but wasted even more money on a ludicrous five year contract at, god only knows, how much per week. Even Prowsey droolers seemed taken aback by this knee jerk fan appeasement by the management.
