Fa cup winner gets in Champions League, but only the big clubs! 12:31 - Apr 8 with 1855 views | Saintsforeverj | https://www.google.com/amp/s/metro.co.uk/2022/04/02/fa-cup-winner-to-get-champio The latest corrupt (or at least cheating and unfair), crack pot idea. Prize of champions league for the winner, but only if you are a big club. Ralph spoke about this in his press conference being a good idea, but couldn't believe it when he heard it only applies to the top clubs. The cheek of it, once again!!! The top clubs ruining football yet again. [Post edited 8 Apr 2022 12:35]

Fa cup winner gets in Champions League, but only the big clubs! on 12:39 - Apr 8 with 1809 views | solent_toffee | This is sickening. They should just have their own league and leave everyone else to it. The element of competition is virtually non existent

The so-called big 6 will do everything they can now to stop Newcastle getting involved in their little club. Football at the top level has as much competition and integrity as the WWF (the wrestling not the wildlife). It’s completed rigged to rinse the telly clappers and tourists of as much money as they can.

Yeah well if you remove the “top 6” from almost all of the last 20 or so years of the game, then the PL tables and seasons would be a HELL of a lot closer/more entertaining, as well as all the European tournaments consistently changing on who qualifies. (it would also be pretty funny to see how those that bought Newcastle would react if that happened!) Still this is basically the start of the ESL, and we all know it!

That's right. Palace beat two top teams to win the Fa Cup, but they aren't big enough or won't create as much money as the big clubs to be given a place in the champions league. I agree, the sooner these top clubs and their plastic fans f@ck off to their.owm league the better.

It's about the money, not the sport any more, very true.

Fa cup winner gets in Champions League, but only the big clubs! on 15:44 - Apr 8 with 1616 views | Sadoldgit | Dumb idea. You either qualify by winning it or you don’t. Having said that, it could mean that Portsmouth could possibly end up in the CL? 😩😂

Think they tried that with the European Super League and the rest of the football had a hissy fit because those top clubs generate a disproportionate amount of money coming into the game. Personally I think that sort of Super League is inevitable because once the streaming platforms reach critical mass, they will outbid everybody else. Will Sportsflix want to show Saints v Burnley or Man City v Real Madrid? HMM - tough one. The difficulty is in how to measure popularity. Is it the team with the best players, managed by the best managers and exciting tactics? Or is it those backed by sovereign investment funds who will pay to join the club? HMM - tough one.
