There are some players available, they just won't pay the wages, or required fee for the at least half decent ones. In the end, relegation will mean we lose 150 million. So it's a big gamble.

| We thought that we had the answers,
It was the questions we had wrong. |

centre back on 12:45 - Aug 9 with 1086 views | TimSaint | We have actually bought CBs, but what we have bought hasn't turned out to be any good. Salisu - took an age to make his debut, actually looked quite good, then got injured before the Villa game last season and hasn't been himself ever since, despite being linked to a money move to Newcastle. Was really hoping for more from him, but the OG on Saturday showed what a mess he and the rest of our defence is really in. Lyanco - Definitely the cheap option, but he tries hard and actually puts in a few good performances, however despite his psuedo Cult Status, he ain't that great !! Sure he has some good moments, but is always making costly errors and his level is probably the Championship. Ketchup - Appreciate he is still learning his role and how to play at his new club, but he has done nothing of note in pre-season and the fact that Valery was preferred in the season opener, suggests he is far from ready for the Prem. Willing to give him time though. Add to the equation the likes of Valery, Stephens and Bednarek and we have a back line that is still being experimented with and is in no way shape or form, prepared for a trip to the Lane, let alone for the whole season ahead of us !! FACT. Right now, I would be happy if we bid £20m for the dropped and unhappy Tyrone Mings at Villa, played him in the centre, made him captain and made it his role to organise the whole back line.
