Interesting to note that within 2 years of Mr. Rustyball leaving MK Dons, they got relegated. Which means either: 1. He did a very good job; they played the same style of football after he left, and his replacement wasn’t as good, or; 2. They decided to ditch Rustyball after he left for Swansea, but their players couldn’t adapt to playing a more conventional style, as Rustyball was so entrenched in their mindset. For this reason, I will be watching Swansea’s progress under Michael Duff this season with some interest. High-risk stuff though, this. I can imagine as a team it is no more difficult to adapt to Rustyball than it is to try and wean yourself off it….. |  |
